Why Register?
Registering means that you make a conscious, planned comitment to take part in the Vigil at specific times of your choosing. By registering you let others who will be meditating at the same time know that you are linking with them. It is always a valuable service to meditate for world peace at any time - registering your commitment to meditate on this United Nations International Day of Peace is a symbolic way of saying to the world you will be co-operating in a concentrated intitiative of mind and heart. Registration affirms that every part of your Self will be present during the 15 minutes: your personal self; Soul or Buddha nature; Spirit. Please plan to take part - make a conscious choice to set aside a specific time and plan for it in your meditations leading up to this time. ... and even if you don't register, you can still link in and participate.

Wherever you are in the world you can register on the Vigil Sign Up form to participate for as many 15 minute slots as you wish. You may wish to sign up for different periods [for example: 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM (09:00 - 10:00) 12 noon - 1:00 PM (12:00 - 13:00); 5:00 PM - 6:30PM (17:00 - 18:30); 7:00 - 7:15 PM (19:00 - 19:15)]. Remember your aim is to use the prayer every 15 minutes. The Sign Up form displays the time slots of the 24 hours of September 21 in your own time zone - so you don't need to worry about converting to GMT or UST. If you have any technical problems registering check the instructions below.
NB. Time slots are given for 48 hours. This is because New Zealand (on one side of the date line) is 23 hours ahead of Samoa and Tonga (on the other side of the date line). When September 21st starts in New Zealand at midnight (00:00) it is 1 AM on September 20 in Tonga and Samoa.

On the Vigil Sign Up and Schedule page click on the box 'Sign Up'. If the Sign Up page does not display it may be because you do not have the Java programme on your computer or your computer may be too old to accomodate Java. If this is the case please send an email with 'Peace Vigil' as the subject. State your name (or the group name), nearest large city, country and the times (in your own time zone) you wish to participate in the Vigil. We will complete the registration for you.
