Frequently Asked Questions
Registration Problems
1. Who will take part in this Vigil?
All who love humanity and value the power of prayer and meditation are invited to join in this group invocation to the potencies of Light, Love and Spiritual Purpose, using the Great Invocation.
2. Why a Vigil?
World Invocation Day has been observed on the Gemini Full Moon since 1952. On World Invocation Day people all over the world will be making a special effort to use the Great Invocation. National and regional Vigils for World Invocation Day where groups of people use the Great Invocation in a rhythmic pulse every 15 minutes for 24 hours have taken place in New Zealand since 2000 and in Latin America since 2003. In addition to the multitude of initiatives on this Day the Vigil is a way of encouraging a wider network of people to use the Great Invocation as a service to humanity. It is also a way for those who are experienced in the use of this world prayer to link consciously with co-workers in their region - sending love to each participant using the Great Invocation at the same time they are using it. We can visualize these Vigils contributing to the building of a subjective sense of community amongst co-workers in the region of the Americas.
3. Why the Americas?
Since 2003 a Vigil has been held on World Invocation Day throughout Latin America. In 2006 the area covered was expanded to the Americas as a whole. In addition to the contribution that this Americas Vigil will make to the global focus on World Invocation Day, it will also contribute to the sense of the Americas as one continent, helping bridge the divide between North, Central and South America as well as between the different language groups of the region. It provides an opportunity for those throughout the continent who use meditation and prayer in service to work together as fellow Americans.
4. What if I live outside of the Americas? Can I still take part in the Vigil?
Yes. While the main focus is for co-workers throughout the Americas - anyone who wishes to take part, from anywhere in the world, is very welcome. You will need to choose a time between 02:30 AM UST / GMT Wednesday June 18 to 10:00 AM UST / GMT Thursday June 19, when the Vigil will operate.
5. How do I Register?
Complete the Sign Up form. We will not share your information with any third parties.

If you are having Sign Up problems these are usually answered by taking care to follow ALL of the following steps:
- Go to the Sign Up page
- Click on the 'Sign Up' box - this will take you to the Sign Up! form
- Select a Vigil - click on the arrow in the box in the top right hand corner and select either the Americas or the New Zealand Vigil. You must complete this step to Sign Up. When you select a Vigil the registration times will appear under 'Available Time Slots'
- Enter the information in the appropriate boxes: Name (your name OR the group name if a group will be participating); Email address (this information will not be shared - it will only be used to inform you of further Vigils organised by Intuition in Service); Country
- Click on a Time Slot (listed under 'Available Time Slots' - these will only appear if you have selected the Americas or the New Zealand Vigil) and drag it over with the mouse to 'My Vigil Times'. If you are not familiar with using your mouse in this way see the instructions here. You can select as many times as you like and keep adding them to your list of 'My Vigil Times'. If you wish to sign up for different periods, for example: 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM: click on the start time (09:00 AM); hold the shift key down; click on the end time (10:00 AM); you will then be able to drag all four time slots across to the 'My Vigil Times' column.
If you have any other problems, or questions please send us an email: info@intuition-in-service.org. We will happily register your participation for you if you wish: send us an email with your name, nearest large city (this helps us see your time zone), country and the times you will be participating - the subject of the email should be 'wid vigil'.
